Agent Settings

Configure OptiFleet's agent to customize data collection and command execution

Overview

Agent Settings is the foundation of the OptiFleet system's data collection and monitoring capabilities. The agent serves as the bridge between the mining hardware and OptiFleet, continuously gathering performance data and executing commands.

The OptiFleet agent operates manages multiple concurrent processes:

  • Miner Data Collection: Continuously gathers performance metrics from your mining fleet
  • Network Discovery: Automatically identifies new miners and network changes
  • Command Execution: Processes reboot commands, configuration changes, and other operations
  • Database Synchronization: Maintains consistency between local and cloud-based data

Permissions: Agent configuration requires facility administrator privileges to prevent unauthorized changes to critical system parameters.

Navigate to the Agents section in OptiFleet: Management > Sites > choose the site you want to configure > Settings

Settings

You can modify any of the settings. Default, minimum, and maximum settings are listed. All times are listed in seconds.

Get Miners Interval

Controls how frequently the agent synchronizes the OptiFleet miners to the local agent. Enter the desired interval in seconds.

Miner Data Collection Concurrency

Determines how many miners the agent can collect data from simultaneously during each collection cycle.

Miner Command Concurrency

Controls how many miners can receive commands simultaneously for operations like manual reboots and configuration changes. This setting affects basic miner commands, but does not affect curtailment commands or auto-reboot functions, which are controlled by separate systems designed for different operational requirements.

    Miner Discovery Interval

Sets how often the agent scans the network to discover new miners and detect changes to existing equipment. The discovery process will wait for the current scan to complete before starting a new one, even if the interval time has elapsed. This ensures thorough network scanning without overlapping processes that could cause system conflicts.

    Network Scan Concurrency

Determines how many IP addresses the agent can scan simultaneously when discovering new miners on the network.

    Actions Per Minute

Limits the rate of specific automated actions to prevent system overload and ensure stable operations. This setting specifically controls auto-reboot operations and pool configuration changes to prevent system overload during large-scale automated operations.

    Logs

Click on the Logs tab to load the agent log to see a history of actions taken by the agent. Maintain visibility into agent operations and perform troubleshooting when necessary.

    Log Information Includes:

    • System Operations: Data collection cycles and network discovery activities
    • Error Messages: Detailed information about system issues and failures
    • Performance Metrics: Timing information and system resource usage
    • Command Execution: History of commands sent to miners and their results

    Run Miner Discovery

Using the Run Miner Discovery button at the top left of the screen, you can Trigger an immediate scan outside of the regular discovery interval for urgent operational needs. Some sample use cases:

    • New Equipment Installation: Immediately identify newly installed miners
    • Network Changes: Detect miners after IP address changes or network reconfigurations
    • Troubleshooting: Verify network connectivity and miner visibility issues
    • Maintenance Recovery: Quickly identify miners returning from maintenance
