Individual Miner Diagnostics

Tools for troubleshooting individual miners

Individual Miner Dashboard Analysis

Perform deep diagnostic analysis on individual miners to identify specific problems and their root causes.

Access the individual miner screen through the Miner List or Site Map ***

Fan Diagnostics

  • Normal Operation: Consistent, expected RPM across all fans with small natural variations
  • Failed Fans: Zero RPM readings or flat lines across the monitoring graph
  • Failing Fans: Erratic RPM patterns or significant deviation from other fans
  • Time Period Selection: Use a 7-day view to identify recurring problems
  • Failure Prediction: Gradual RPM decline often precedes complete fan failure. Use a 30-day view for this.

Temperature Analysis and Thermal Management

Hash Board Temperature Monitoring:

  • Normal Operations: Consistent temperatures across all boards with small variations
  • Thermal Issues: One extremely high reading may indicate disabled or failing hash board
  • Cooling Problems: Gradually increasing temperatures suggest airflow or cooling issues

Temperature Pattern Recognition:

  • Stable Operation: Consistent temperature ranges with normal fluctuations
  • Thermal Cycling: Extreme up-and-down patterns suggest thermal management problems
  • Heat Buildup: Steadily increasing temperatures could indicate cooling system degradation

Environmental Correlation:

  • Ambient Temperature Impact: Compare miner temperatures with facility conditions
  • Seasonal Patterns: Identify temperature-related performance variations
  • Cooling System Efficiency: Evaluate thermal management effectiveness

Hash Rate Pattern Analysis

Performance Consistency Evaluation:

  • Healthy Operation: Steady, consistent hash rate lines with minimal variation
  • Hardware Issues: Constant fluctuations (up and down patterns) suggest underlying problems
  • Intermittent Problems: Periodic drops may indicate connection or power issues

Extended Time Period Analysis:

  • Pattern Recognition: Longer observation periods reveal intermittent problems
  • Trend Identification: Gradual performance decline indicates developing issues
  • Curtailment & Maintenance Correlation: Compare performance changes with planned curtailment & maintenance activities

Error Codes

If the miner has produced a manufacturer error code, it will be listed on the miner info panel on the right. The error code may help suggest a diagnosis. You can also use the Errors tab in the Issues list to see miners grouped by manufacturer error codes.

    Activity

The activity log, found in the Activity Tab on the individual miner dashboard, shows a comprehensive history of reboots and other activities.
