What's the difference between rated and target hashrate?

Rated vs. Target gives you two different yardsticks by which to measure hash rate efficiency.

Both rated and target hash rates are available for each miner and are also included as benchmarks within relevant graphs and reports. Comparing hash rate performance against these benchmarks provides a clearer picture of your fleet’s hashing potential.

Rated hash rate

The manufacturer's rating. Note that the rating is editable in OptiFleet to account for variants in miner models that may have different ratings. In general, this should adhere to the manufacturer specs to get proper benchmarking.

Note: changing the rated hashrate outside the range of the manufacturer's specs can affect the sites overall stats, and may produce inaccurate data in key metrics. Use wisely.

Target hash rate

Where available, an average hash rate for a particular miner can be pulled from the miner firmware. This number better accounts for factors that may be affecting the miners, such as over- or under-clocking, low or high ambient temperatures, etc.

This can be a more realistic benchmark for miner performance because it is based on actual conditions.

Where this number is not available, rated hash rate is substituted in this field instead.
